One year has passed so fast and December marks the last month of my 2014 ambassadorship with Sunsilk. It has been an amazing journey working with Sunsilk this year! Being a Sunsilk ambassador has definitely changed my life. I mean, who wouldn't want to be a part of a huge brand?

Sunsilk has done quite a number of fun things this year and I’m glad that I was able to be part of it! For reminiscent sake and in case some of you missed some of them, here’s a recap of what happened in my year as a Sunsilk Ambassador!

CLEO Magazine

It all started last December, I had my first photo and video shoot with Sunsilk, alongside the other three ambassadors, Rachel, Eunice and Naomi. Our pictures were set to come out in CLEO’s Feb issue and the video was an introduction to Sunsilk’s 2014 ambassadors (to see, click here) ! I still could remember during this period of time, my self-esteem hit rock bottom because I had major break outs and knowing that I have to be in front of the camera, it just didn't feel good at all. I was pretty hesitant to do it because I didn't feel good at all; the thought of the video being on YouTube with everyone watching it…it really made me really embarassed and afraid! However, I somehow managed to get over it after telling myself.. ‘You know what, whatever. I am just going to be who I am, what I am!’. And I’m so glad I actually pushed myself then if not, I wouldn’t regretted it!

So back to the picture log, here’s me getting my hair and make-up done by Larry.

Oh dear, how I miss my long hair

I unfortunately can't find my copy of the CLEO magazine but here's a collage of all our pictures from the shoot!

Hair Tutorials

Moving on, I did quite a number of hair tutorials over the period of my ambassadorship with Sunsilk. You can even see my hair transition from long to short! I did a Side Braid hair tutorial and posted the video on YouTube. This was my first ever hair tutorial video and I felt very happy because I managed to achieve something that I never really thought I could do. I don’t think I would be doing other videos on YouTube if it was not for this one because I felt that this video was the reason why I was eager to go try more YouTube videos.

Afterwards, I did a simple hairstyle that any girls could achieve within 5 minutes! That thin eyebrows though, hahahahaha! You know, it's so good to be looking at photos from the past and it reminds me of so many things. I am literally smiling to myself now, hahaha!

Here are the ones on Sunsilk’s Facebook page. Something I love about Sunsilk are how their infographics look so nice!

Sunsilk Pop-Up Salon

Next, one of the amazing experiences I had with Sunsilk was the Sunsilk Pop-Up Salon. I enjoyed myself a lot! Not only did I get my hair done by professionals, but the fact that I was given the chance to do someone else's hair was *two thumbs up*. It was not just some random people but it was those who participated in my Instagram contest. I was so excited okay. I felt like a pro hair stylist for that half an hour.

My twin was freakily looking at me...

Yay! My end look! You like it?

I was very happy that day because I met so many nice girls who participated in the contest. They were so cute! Hahaha!

So that about sums up my experience with Sunsilk this year. Not to forget, the Sunsilk Hair Fall Tonic been a constant in my regular hair regime, keeping my hair strong and manageable throughout the day. I hope all that we’ve shared throughout the year has helped each one of you to cope with bad hair days and figure out new ways to have fun with your hair! If you’ve put them to use, don’t forget to upload them and tag #sunsilkgoodtimes and myself in your posts! I’d love to see them too.

Now moving on to something exciting that’s coming up…Christmas is around the corner and good news, Sunsilk is holding another contest! This time, the prize is a staycation at the New Majestic Hotel!
