Our Monday Meal (Recipes)

Majority of you know that last monday, boyfriend and I made our own meal. Of course with the help of my cousin, Myra, everything was made possible. Boyfriend put his cooking skills to the test. He initiated to cook spaghetti while I did the egg mayo croissant, oreo cheesecake and not forgetting, the soup.

Some of you asked for the recipe so here it is!

Easy PHILLY OREO Cheesecake

Extracted from

Prep: 20 mins
Cook: 45 mins
Ready in: 4 hrs 5 mins

Servings: 12
  • 24 OREO Cookies, divided
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla oil
  • 3 (250 g) packages PHILADELPHIA Brick Cream Cheese, softened
  • 3 eggs

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F (approx. 177 degrees celcius). Place 16 of the cookies in resealable plastic bag. Flatten bag to remove excess air, then seal bag. Finely crush cookies by rolling a rolling pin across the bag. Place in bowl. Add butter; mix well. Press firmly onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until blended after each addition. Chop or crush remaining 8 cookies. Gently stir half of the chopped cookies into cream cheese batter. Pour over prepared crust; sprinkle with the remaining chopped cookies.
  3. Bake 45 min. Or until centre is almost set. Cool. Refrigerate 3 hours or overnight. Cut into 12 pieces. Store leftover cheesecale in refrigerator.

Egg Mayo Croissant

  • 5 croissant bread
  • 2 round tomatoes
  • Lettuce
  • 4 hard boil eggs
  • 3 tablespoon of mayonnaise
  • Pepper

  1. Cut the croissant into half with a kitchen knife. Make sure it is still attached.
  2. Peel the shell from the hard boil eggs and place it in a bowl. Slowly mashed the eggs into small pieces. Add mayonnaise and pepper into the bowl and mix it well.
  3. Wash the lettuce, arrange it neatly at one side of the croissant. Slice the tomatoes nicely and arrange it above the lettuce. To finish it off, add the egg mayo on top of the tomatoe slice(s) and carefully spread it.

Spaghetti Bolognese

Recipe written by Ashriq

  • 1 packet of minced meat
  • 1 packet of spaghetti
  • 1 bottle of tomato sauce
  • 1 packet of meatballs
  • 1 packet of hotdogs
  • 1 bottle of bolognese sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon of pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt

  1. Heat up the pan with two spoonful of olive oil. Then, add the raw minced meat and stir continuously.
  2. Once done, boil the spaghetti in another pot with hot water. Let it boil for approximately 20 minutes. Ensure that the spaghetti is not too hard/soft. (If you don't want to waste time, you can actually boil the meatballs and hotdogs together.)
  3. For the sauce, pour in a glass water in a separate pot. Empty the bolognese sauce in the bottle and then, add about two spoonful of tomato sauce and roughly two teaspoon of salt. Stir for about 15 minutes. Once done, you can add in the meatballs and hotdogs in the sauce and stir it for another 2-3 minutes. Don't forget to add in half teaspoon of pepper. You can cut the hotdogs into smaller pieces if you want to.
