Love Of February

Let's back track a little bit. Rewind time to the month of February. I know, I know, I haven't been blogging for more than a month. Just the thought of editing photos, videos and so on, blearghh... It's pretty tough y'know. Hahaha, alright excuses aside...

14th February, well EVERYBODY knows what day it is eventhough today is already the 18th of March. In an instant, you know it's Valentine's Day. Honestly, I didn't expect anything to happen on that day itself. Both Ash and I, we are already getting old. We have been together for more than a year and I don't see why we should go out on dates, give surprises just like other normal couples do. I wasn't sad, I wasn't happy either. More like neutral kinda feeling. More of wanting to stay at home the whole day, movie marathon in bed with chips and diet coke, that would be nice. In addition, I wouldn't want to go out to town either, hurt myself unintentionally just by looking at thousands of couples walking around holding hands, exchanging kisses and what not.

I'd rather stay out of it.

All my friends went out on "V" dates while there's me, stucked at home like a potato couch. About evening, Ash called me, asking me to go down. Obviously, I was like "WTH?" I AM NOT EVEN FULLY AWAKE. I AM STILL IN MY SLOTH LAZY ASS MODE. But, I trusted him since he said it was all gonna be worth it. I didn't pay much attention to that but instead rushing to take a shower and all of that sort.

He came, I opened the car door, sat inside and slammed back shut. A few seconds later, I realised... Why is there so much stuff in the backseat of his car? Aren't they suppose to be in the car boot? And then, Yeah, I got the hint. I jumped out of the car and went to the car boot. I forced Ash to open it and he did. There I found a bouquet of fresh roses... I, ermm.. kinda melted :)

I stood there for a minute in silence................. asking myself, why would he do such sweet things for me?

Before I carry on, let me talk about my gifts. Below, is a VS bag that boyfriend gave it to me as a birthday gift.

Below this, is a gift from boyfriend's family.

And the best present that I have ever received for the past 19 years of my existence is this wallet. It means a lot to me. Not because it's from VS or it's expensive, but it's because it was from my mum.

The thing about her, she don't usually give me birthday gifts. The only thing she gave me for my birthday, is money. Standard. When parents don't know what to buy for their children/kids, they just hand them a sum of money thinking that they are able to buy whatever they want. I began to realise, as I grow up, money is nothing to me. Especially from my mum, It's always nice to get something else from her other than money. And this year she bought for me this wallet.

My mum came home one night and woke me up from my nap. She nudged me continuously until I woke up. She said, "LOOK WHAT I'VE GOT FOR YOU!" and on her left hand, there was a pink bag. I asked her, "What is that?" and she replied, "IT'S FOR YOU! OPEN IT AND SEE!" Of course, I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. It's amazing. I took a step back to reflect for a moment. My mum KNOWS what I like and what I don't like. She KNOWS that I love VS. She KNOWS that I need a new wallet. She KNOWS. My mum KNOWS my NEEDS and my WANTS. I felt really emotional for a second because despite her being busy with her work and schedule, she still have time to find out WHAT I AM UP TO AND WHAT I LOVE MOST. Knowing her, she wouldn't spend a bomb on a gift, trust me. It was special :)

Boyfriend booked a hotel at Park Regis along with my lovely cousins and one of his friend for my birthday. I've never really celebrated my birthday in a hotel, so it was my first this year.

Boyfriend did a good job with the decoration and settings. Not only that, but he also booke d a room whereby, there's a sliding door behind that curtain and it leads to the swimming pool. It's just OUTSIDE THE ROOM! Well done!

p/s: I came to the hotel without any make up because Ash said that I can prepare myself once I'm there for dinner at night.

p/ss: AND THERE THEY WERE SURPRISING ME AT MY WORST STATE!

Note to Ash: You should have asked me to get ready when I was at home >:(

I wore make up in the room and all of us had lunch at a Thai food place at Central. It was awesome!!

Thought my birthday celebration was over, but NO! Boyfriend brought me out to dinner on 20th February, supposedly my birthday (the hotel celebration was 4 days before my real birthday). He brought me to Bangkok Jam at Wheelock because both of us were craving for Thai Cuisine and we figured that Bangkok Jam is a nice place to dine in.

Let the photos to the talking.

Here is a mini vlog/film (whatever you want to call it)
